The Public Relations, Information, and Communication Department of the Indonesian Nurse Managers Association (Huminfokom HPMI) organized a training on writing in social media and practicing posting articles on the HPMI website. This training event, held on March 9, 2024, was conducted online and attended by HPMI Regional Boards (PW) from across Indonesia. Approximately 105 participants from various PW representatives actively participated in this writing training.
Dr. Didin Syaefudin, S.Kp., MARS, the Head of the HPMI Executive Board, delivered a welcoming speech and inaugurated the article writing training on social media. He conveyed that the event aimed to both raise awareness about the HPMI website and train all HPMI members throughout Indonesia to write popular articles on social media. He hoped that after this training, HPMI regional representatives could actively contribute to the HPMI website by providing various beneficial information for the public, especially for nurse managers across Indonesia.
The first speaker in this training was Yokhanan Prasetyono, who is actively engaged in social media writing, a contributor to Citilink magazine, and a hospitality software consultant. He emphasized that the purpose of writing is to inspire, share ideas, disseminate knowledge, and challenge oneself to step out of the comfort zone. He also shared tips and strategies in writing articles for social media that can engage readers to delve deeper into our writing, where we need to imagine, develop creative ideas, and utilize our senses in expressing our thoughts.
The second speaker from the Huminfokom team of the HPMI Executive Board, Ns. Moh Heri Kurniawan, S.Kep., M.Kep, explained the guidelines and procedures for posting articles on the HPMI website. Ns. Heri mentioned that the templates provided on the website are well-organized, making it easier for designated regional representatives to upload articles as administrators.
The training event was enthusiastically attended by all participants representing HPMI regions. One participant stated that the training was beneficial as it broadened their knowledge and enthusiasm for writing articles on social media. "Moreover, since the current generation prefers to seek information through social media, it can provide useful information, especially for nurses seeking the latest news and training through social media," they added.
